What is the role of ntlPA?
The role of the ntlPA is described in more detail under About Us. In summary, the association was set up and is run by ex-ntl staff to establish ongoing communication with ntl Group, the Trustees of the ntl Pension Scheme and the ntlPA members, who themselves have a vested interest in ensuring that it will continue to meet its future financial obligations.

Are you a member of ntlPAand if not, why not?
With so much discussion taking place in the press of late, as well as individual concerns regarding long-term pension scheme viability, it is becoming more important than ever that there is a strong collective voice when communicating and meeting with ntl Group and the trustees of the NTL final salary Pension Scheme, to ensure it is meeting future financial obligations to our mutual vested interest.

By becoming an ntlPA member, you will help strengthen the association's position and effectiveness when pursuing collective pension matters to ntl Group or other related parties, by demonstrating an increased and more representative view of NTL pension scheme members who are also ntlPA members.

Furthermore, the additional revenue will help the association continue to fund the newsletter, website and other initiatives for your benefit.

What benefits are there from me joining ntlPA?
a) Knowing that there is a representative body who will endeavour to support you when raising non-personal issues relating to the NTL final salary Pension Scheme that are of concern to you.

b) You will receive a quarterly newsletter keeping you in touch with related ntlPA news and topics of interest.

c) You will have full access to the ntlPA website and facilities such as pension news updates by registering on the ntlPA forum.

How do I apply to become an ntlPA member?

Payment Arrangements
We have arranged for members to pay their annual subs by Bankers Order.

The advantages are two-fold to you in that:

  • unless the sub is altered some time in the future, your membership will be renewed automatically each year without you having to remember the due date, write a cheque, find the treasurer's address, an envelope, a stamp, and a postbox!
  • it will also significantly reduce the admin for the Treasurer and Secretary in checking lists, preparing reminders (sometimes twice!), photocopying and postage.

Please note that it is NOT a Direct Debit and that only you can alter the amount (or cancel it.) The first payment is due on joining regardless of when you join. Once you have received the form, please complete it, before you forget, then send it direct to the Treasurer, not to your bank. He will log it and then forward it to your bank. Annual payment by cheque remains an option.

As soon your application form is received you will go on the mailing list for Newsletters, social events, meeting minutes etc etc and the periodic issue of the Members' List so you can get in touch with old friends and colleagues if you so wish.

To receive your Application form and Bankers Order form please send an e-mail to the secretary who will then forward them to you or download the forms directly from here.

Thank you for your interest in joining ntlPA
