Introduction The forum has been established as a new feature on this web site to enable:
- ntlPA members to keep in touch with friends and colleagues
- members to recall past IBA/ntl/DTELS events or history of interest to others
- the committee to post information of general interest to its members
- the committee to post information relating to pension matters
In time, there will be additional categories added according to the level of interest and support expressed by ntlPA members.
IMPORTANT NOTICE Please note that the forum registration and account activation is only available to persons who are paid-up members of the ntl Pension Association. If you are not already a member and wish to join the Association, please click here for more details.
Also, updating your e-mail address on the forum is not a function currently linked to the ntlPA membership database. Accordingly, please contact the Treasurer whenever you change your e-mail address.
View Postings To view forum postings, simply click on the View Postings link in the panel opposite, which brings up the Index page displaying the current range of topics. Please choose the appropriate topic by clicking on the relevant bold text.
Registration Process To submit a forum posting, you first need to register some basic details by clicking on the Register link in the panel opposite.
When entering your basic details, which are items marked ‘*’, you MUST include the anti-spam answer in bold text as stated next to the anti-spam field. In addition, you are advised not to select display my e-mail address. Both measures are necessary to prevent you either receiving unwanted spam by e-mail or spam appearing in the member list.
On pressing ‘Submit’ the registration process is detailed as follows:
1) you should receive an on-screen notice and an automated e-mail to your specified address informing you that your account has been created.
2) an automated e-mail will be sent to the Webmaster requiring him to activate the account.
3) upon Webmaster account activation, you will be sent an automated e-mail informing you that the account is now live and that you can log-in and submit postings accordingly.
Please note that you will not be able to log-in to the forum until the account has been activated by the Webmaster.
Log-in to Submit Postings To submit postings, access to the forum is via the Log-In link in the panel opposite, which in turn brings up the Log-In page that requires you to enter your Username and Password.
On successful authentication, each topic can be viewed and you have the option to either create a new topic, or reply to an existing topic. You also have the option to delete your own entries but not those submitted by others.
Problems Logging In Common problems are incorrect Username, or more likely the Password, which is case sensitive, so please keep a record of your log-in details in a safe location for future reference. One other reason for being unable to log-in is where you may have exceeded the number of attempted log-in’s.
